A New Year, New You

Change your look in 2009 with a celebrity inspired hairstyle at Lockstock Hairdressing
Four women responded to our appeal for volunteer models willing to undergo a total hair transformation.
They left Lockstock Hairdressing walking on air - thrilled with their new celebrity-inspired looks.
Twenty-one year old Natasha Bloxham adores actress Bea Grant’s hairstyle as worn by her character ‘Daphne’ in the hit TV series Heroes.
Whilst Bea Grant has a round face (yet suits the very short bob), Lockstock hairdressing stylist Lynda opted for MORE length for Natasha but created an illusion of shorter hair by darkening the underneath section. The choppy style really suited Natasha’s personality and the lighter hair colour brought out her STUNNING blue eyes!
Lexie Ward’s style inspiration was actress Katie Holmes.
Lockstock Hairdressing stylist Shelley Douglas advised a slightly more edgy look than that worn by the Batman Begins star. A false fringe beneath the finished cut SOFTENED and reduced the length of her face and underlined her dramatic EYES and cheekbones! Shelley highlighted the top section of hair to reflect light and applied an all-over warm semi-permanent colour to add terrific shine and gloss.
Teenager Chrystal McGregor had fallen into the trap of using straighteners.
Lockstock hairdressing stylist Lynda layered Chrystal’s hair and created a long side fringe to add sexiness and more than a hint of Girls Aloud and X Factor star Cheryl Cole. To add body, gloss and create an illusion of volume, Lynda then highlighted the top section of her hair to reflect light and applied an all-over fiery red semi-permanent colour. RED equals DANGER and the colour emphasised her beautiful amber eyes! Lynda layered Chrystal’s hair and created a long side fringe to add sexiness and more than a hint of Girls Aloud and X Factor star Cheryl Cole.
Whilst white or grey hair can look fantastic it can sometimes make the hair appear transparent and thin.
Elizabeth Carrick readily agreed to a full head permanent colour which created ‘thickness’ and stylist Shelley textured her hair and used a fine comb to apply subtle highlights. Deepening the COLOUR brought out the natural colour in Elizabeth’s face.
